Our Coaches
Our Coaches are highly qualified. They have been picked from the Victorian State Team and Squad, and many are soon to have university debating experience. Here are just a few of our highly qualified coaches;

Shakrham Rakhmatullaev
Shak has a passion for debating and law, and it shows. He is a Deakin Law champion, two time British Parliamentary grand-finalist and last year in B grade DAV debating he was a semi-finalist . He was also a member of the Victorian State Squad in 2023 and was the debating captain of Melbourne Grammar School in 2023.

Ryan Mooney
Ryan has a love of all things politics and that has manifested itself into debating. Ryan has been a 2021 DAV quarter finalist, a 2022 DAV grand finalist, a Model United Nations Evatt State Semi-Finalist and second place holder in the 2023 National Ethics Olympiad. Ryan also got Best Speaker Overall in the MASDC in 2023 and was a member of the Victorian State Team as a reserve speaker.

Lola Ogunbambi
Lola is a successful and passionate orator. Lola's debating achievements are diverse. She is a PESA state finalist and placed 5th place in the Australian Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships. She was also a member of the Victorian State Squad in 2023.

Rohan Green
Rohan is a Year 11 debater at Melbourne High School. With his team, he reached the grand final in the British Parliamentary debating tournament, as well as the finals in the C Grade (Year 10) DAV schools tournament. Individually, Rohan is a speaker on the Victorian State Team for debating.

Jenny Gong
Jenny is one of the most successful year 11 debaters in Victoria. She is currently a speaker in the Victorian State Team, and has been in the Victorian State team for the last 3 years. She has also been awarded Overall Best Speaker in the MASDC in 2023 and was a DAV c-grade semi-finalist in 2022.

Nicholas Bogdan
Nicholas as a debater and coxswain has a deep love for all things oratory. He won the DAV Intermediate British Parliamentary competition in 2023 and the Swannie Award in 2022. Additionally, he was nominated for Best Speaker in 2022 (top 3 in the state). Nicholas is also a 2023 DAV quarter-finalist and a reserve speaker for the Victorian State Team.
